Haltwhistle Welcome Group
Haltwhistle Welcome Group came together in response to the arrival of a number of
migrant families and individuals at the end of 2025.
The group was affiliated to Northumberland County of Sanctuary in May 2026 and has a close working
relationship with Haltwhistle Community Partnership.
The group can be contacted in the first instance by new arrivals through the
Haltwhistle Community Shops on the Main Street.

Our support
The group can offer practical assistance with setting up home in Haltwhistle. It can also signpost or accompany, depending on need, to local services and groups eg Citizens Advice Bureau, Rural Employment Hub, ESOL Services, School, Health Centre, Library, Leisure Centre, Gardening groups etc
